ATCP Chile or the
Technical Association of Cellulose and Paper is a corporation of
private standing whose primary objectives are:
To enable and to promote the
professional and technical improvement of its associates in the field of
manufacturing and the use of cellulose, paper, and its derivatives;
To promote technological development, scientific research and collaboration
with companies, universities, and technical and private schools;
To organize the collection and distribution of information relating to the
cellulose and paper industry;
To present, discuss and publish technical reports, research projects and other
contributions of the same nature.

The organization of ATCP-Chile is managed by a board of directors of nine
members who are selected by their associates and are re-selected every two
years.
ATCP-Chiles participants consist of executives, professionals,
technicians and suppliers of the industry. There are around 350 members who
are divided into 5 general types of membership: assets, affiliated, adherents,
collaborative and honorary. Membership status is acquired by signing the
constitution of the corporation or by the acceptance by the board of directors
of the application sponsored by a member, in which complete agreement with the
aims of the institution is expressed and the applicant commits himself to
faithfully accept and follow the statutes and regulations. |
